The Sheridan at Park Ridge was wonderful. The facility was very clean and very nice. Our favorite thing was that the garden was right off the memory care. They were not huge, but perfect for what my mother-in-law needed. Their dining area was very clean and very nice.
There is enough staff, and they are accessible and responsive when needed. The building and grounds seem to be well maintained. She seems to really like the activities. There is all kinds of different things to do. I am just very pleased with the overall experience. All the aides have been really good with my mom.

Everything for the move in was done very professionally. My questions were answered right away by management, and I never felt like there was a question that I couldn't ask. I was very unfamilar with this process, but everyone was very understanding, professional, and caring. Everything is fine with housekeeping, and the building is very nice. It looks like a very nice hotel when you walk into the lobby.
They have all of their common areas on the first level and the residents live on the second, third, and fourth floors. I was pretty impressed with the staff that I met. They had a hair salon, and I like the fact that The Sheridan has signed on a third party for all the physical therapy. They bring an outside company onsite and they do it right there for the residents, and it seemed a little bit more professional to me. They have a grand piano in their main lobby and they have entertainers come and perform there.
The care staff has introduced themselves. They have been attentive to all of our needs. When my father first moved in, the maintenance team was very accommodating with the move. I feel like the housekeeping has been very good too. I have seen the activities calendar, and there are different things that are offered.
Absolutely the worst experience, mostly from executive team. Care team did the best they could with the limited staff members they had on, way under requirements for the amount of residents there. They used a temp service most of the time which was not effective. No memory care director and no memory care activities staff were staffed during my loved ones stay, so it was very unorganized and there were no activities to do.

Other than that, it was a horrible experience. They even messed up their medicine two times. When handling the issues, executive director was very unprofessional and rude. I highly advise against placing your loved one here. We are very pleased with everything so far. I fell like everybody has been very friendly.
